High-wall style units are the most cost effective of the indoor units. Installation is simplified, reducing labor cost. They also have the widest range of capacities starting at a nominal rating of 6,000 btu’s for smaller bedrooms and offices up to 36,000 btu’s for large Great Rooms. The High-wall units come in four main models:

GL
The “standard” model comes in white only. Custom colors are available at additional cost. In capacities down to 6,000 btu’s these units work well in smaller bedrooms, offices, or larger rooms with heating and cooling requirements up to 24,000 btu’s.
FH
An upgrade from the GL, the FH model incorporates Mitsubishi’s patented “i-see” technology providing enhanced temperature control by not only measuring the air temperature of the room but also the temperature of the objects in it to pinpoint hot and cold spots for maximum comfort. The FH also has enhanced filtration and greater control functions accessible right on the wireless remote controller. This is our recommendation for Master Bedrooms and medium sized rooms with more architectural features that can cause heating and cooling challenges. Available in sizes from 9,000 btu’s to 18,000 btu’s. All sizes in white only with the same custom color option as the GL.
EF
The “Designer Series” comes in three color options: Glossy Black, Matte Silver, or Classic White. Produced in its unique and distinctive “cubist” style the EF fits in perfectly in a modern design theme. The EF also incorporates the enhanced control features of the FH. Available in sizes from 9,000 btu’s to 18,000 btu’s.
D Model
The “Big Boys”, in capacities 30,000 and 36,000 btu’s, are similar to the GL in appearance but a larger chassis and incorporating some of the enhanced control features of the FH, for very large rooms in some homes and commercial applications. The D offers all the advantages of ductless on a large scale at an affordable price. The D comes in white only with the same custom color option as the GL and FH.
Ceiling Recessed
Ceiling recessed units are a nice upgrade. Many people prefer these aesthetically over the high-wall style. They come in two styles, a four-way and a one-way, in multiple capacities from 9,000 btu’s to 42,000 btu’s.
MLZ
The new one-way allows for greater installation options. Narrow enough to fit between joists on 16” centers, and completely serviceable through the grill, we now have a ceiling recessed unit that can be installed in a first floor ceiling in a multi-story home or commercial building. In capacities from 9,000 btu’s to 18,000 btu’s, these attractive and super-quiet units work well in bedrooms and many other areas of the home as well.
SLZ
A 24”x24” four-way unit designed to be installed in the center or near center of a room these units provide great coverage and a stylish appearance. Optional “i-see” sensor can be installed at the initial installation or at any time in the future. Units can also be configured for three-way and two-way depending on the room shape and features. Chassis fits between trusses or joists on 24” centers. In capacities from 9,000 btu’s to 18,000 btu’s, these units are great for the public areas of your home.
PLA
For larger rooms this four-way 33”x33” offers all the advantages and looks of the SLZ in a larger chassis with even more control options. Available in capacities from 12,000 btu’s to 42,000 btu’s. Originally designed for commercial applications in drop, or t-bar ceilings, these units can be installed in wood or metal framed ceilings but require reframing and possible reengineering of the structure.
Special note: The PLA works exceptionally well in very high ceilings. We have used these in a bank in Sonoma with 16’ ceilings and all glass walls. These have the power to provide complete coverage and exceptional comfort from a great distance with virtually no sound whatsoever.
Floor Mounted/Low Wall
The floor mounted units offer another option when wall and ceiling mounted are not optimum locations. Where floor and wall space is available these units can be utilized. And if you have fond memories of radiators these will feel right at home.
